Congressman Lungren: "Let Them Eat Cake"

This account per a constituent of Lungrens:

"Lungren's Rancho Cordova town hall went like his other 2: over 400 people arriving and less than 1/2 getting inside, rowdy Repubs yelling and Dems waving signs. Lungren was his usual unsympathetic self when an insured woman told him her plight. She has to pay $5000 upfront in copays before she can get a life-saving surgery. Lungren told her she should contact a charitable society to see if she could get them to help her find the money. Tight wad, and cold heart -- his usual self. But I think the Dems made a good showing that we're serious about health care reform, and we did it against a paid, national and extremely organized lobbyist-led organization. Made me proud to be a Democrat!"
